As an eCommerce merchant it is recommended that you don't store your customer's credit card numbers on your server. No matter how secure you think things might be there is always a chance that you can get hacked and loose this highly sensitive information to some very bad people.
Disabling Credit Card Storage in Shopsite
Step #1: Logging into Shopsite
Before you can set Shopsite up to NOT store customer credit card numbers you need to first be logged into its web based interface. Depending on your hosting provider you will have been given access information in order to login. If you do NOT have this information, get it from you host.
Once you have logged into your Shopsite back office you will be presented with a screen just like the one displayed above.
Step #2: Turning off Credit Card Number Storage in Shopsite
Click on the Orders button.
Click on the Security button.
Click on the Credit Card Storage button.
Select the Do not store Credit Cards option.
Step #3: Saving Your Changes
Click the Save button.
