Shopsite makes it easy to configure coupons to be redeemed only for specific products found within your on-line store. This can prove to be especially useful when you are trying to promote a new line of products or wish to liquidate old stock. In the event that you store carries some break-even products it might be wise to NOT include them in the list of products that the coupon can be used with.
Assigning Shopsite Coupons to Specific Products
Step #1: Logging into Shopsite
Before you can set Shopsite coupons up to be used for specific products you need to be first be logged into its web based interface. Depending on your hosting provider you will have been given access information in order to login. If you do NOT have this information, get it from you host.
Once you have logged into your Shopsite back office you will be presented with a screen just like the one displayed above.
Step #2: Setting a Shopsite Coupon to Work With Specific Products
Click on the Merchandising button.
Click on the Coupons button.
Select the coupon you wish to only work with 'specific' products.
Click the Edit button.
Select the Specific products radio button.
Click the Select button.
Select the Products that the coupon can work with.
Click the OK button.
Step #3: Saving Your Changes
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save Changes button.
