Let's face it; a lot of customers just add a product to their shopping basket just to see how much the merchant is going to charge them for shipping. Since this is the case wouldn't it be nice to offer FREE shipping through your Shopsite store so you could increase your customer conversion ratio? If your store can't afford to offer free shipping on ALL orders then you should setup Shopsite's Free Shipping based on Order Total option. This way when a customer reaches the qualifying dollar amount they will no longer be charged any shipping for their order. This way both of you win!
Shopsite Free Shipping for Minimum Orders
Step #1: Logging into Shopsite
Before you can set Shopsite up to offer FREE shipping for orders over a certain amount you need to first be logged into its web based interface. Depending on your hosting provider you will have been given access information in order to login. If you do NOT have this information, get it from you host.
Once you have logged into your Shopsite back office you will be presented with a screen just like the one displayed above.
Step #2: Free Shipping for Orders Over a Certain Amount
Click on the Commerce Setup button.
Click on the Shipping button.
Scroll till you reach the Free Shipping section of the page.
Check the Check here to enable free shipping option check box.
Enter the minimum amount that must be purchased before the customer is given free shipping.
Step #3: Saving Your Changes
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save Changes button.
