FedEx Saturday Delivery Error in Shopsite v8.1

After having configured Shopsite 8.1's integrated FedEx module for a client I kept getting the following error on the Shopsite Add to Cart screen - FedEx Message: Service was not found. I brought this error to Shopsite's attention and they indicated that the error appears when the 'Saturday Delivery' option is turned on at the same time as ANY of the 'Express Shipping' methods. Since the client needed the Express Shipping methods more than Saturday Delivery we unchecked this option. This bug is slated to be fixed in v8.2 of Shopsite.

Fixing Shopsite's - FedEx Message: Service was not found - Error
Step #1: Logging into Shopsite

Before you can fix the Fed Ex 'Saturday Delivery' error in Shopsite you need to first be logged into its web based interface. Depending on your hosting provider you will have been given access information in order to login. If you do NOT have this information, get it from you host.



Once you have logged into your Shopsite back office you will be presented with a screen just like the one displayed above.

Step #2: Fixing Shopsite's FedEx Saturday Delivery Error

Click on the Commerce Setup button.



Click on the Shipping button.



Select the Federal Express shipping option.



Click the Configure button.



Scroll till you reach the Select Special Services section of the page.



Uncheck the Saturday Delivery option.



Step #3: Saving Your Changes

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save button.
